Sexual abuse statistics - Modesty and it's price in western culture

In the most of the eastern countries, especially Muslim countries, modesty for a woman is defined as covering her body and not involving in the unnecessary talk with other gander. Dating and sex before marriage is considered sin. Drinking of alcohol is also sin.
Now in the west, definition of a modesty for a woman is different. Western society after women's movement in last century is considering exposing as a normal part of society.
Now, here I found some statistics of sexual abuse in US which speaks of itself.


Somewhere in America, a woman is raped every 2 minutes, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In 1995, 354,670 women were the victims of a rape or sexual assault. (NationalCrime Victimization Survey. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice, 1996.)

Over the last two years, more than 787,000 women were the victim of a rape or sexual assault. (National Crime Victimization Survey. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S.Department of Justice, 1996.)

The FBI estimates that 72 of every 100,000 females in the United States wereraped last year. (Federal Bureau of Investigation, Uniform Crime Statistics, 1996.)

68% of rapes occur between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

At least 45% of rapists were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Google trends- who search what?

I am a big fan of Google. I think this is website we use more than anything. I love to see their new coool software and features. One of them is "Google trends". You can find what world is searching for and which part of the world search for that keyword more often. I came up with some surprising conclusions which will make you jump from your chair(you may get heart attack if you are desi. lol). I search for the word "sex" and though I will see more North American or European cities in the result. But guess what I found. 0_o.



humm. 3/5 top cities are from India. I though Americans are more in to this topic than my lovely innocent cultural social Indian fellows. Then I though how come Pakistan our neighbor can left behind and I search for "sexy" in Google trends. And I wasn't surprised now.



Wow 6/10 top cities from India and Pakistan. No wonder we don't have control on increasing population.

First post on my blog

Finally, I found some time to create my own blog. Yeah that's why we have reading week (more like chilling week) in uni. Now why do I need a blog? Well everyone got one so I need one too. lol. No, that’s not the reason. I always argue with people on some weird issues and they suggested me to create a blog. Another reason is to kill some time. Not that I have free time with that course load but I want to utilize my laptop at full extend (now that guju guy is taking).
Now I am thinking what I will post on my blog and why I select "Statistics' Park" for my address? Well nothing better came in my mind while filling that option on blogger. You will find all kind of posts on technology, religion, culture and university. Yeah you got it right; I don't have a clear vision yet. Lol But whatever I am gonna post post, you guys will surely enjoy.
